Have no fear! We have been there, and this is how we know.

Sometimes in life we meet someone and immediately know they are a kindred spirit! That is how I have always viewed Tracy. Her sass and wit won me over from the moment I met her.

I consider Tracy to be my mom mentor. This is mainly because anything I could imagine, it seems she has already been-there, done-that. She takes all the scary "what if" scenarios I can make up in my head turns them into a comical learning opportunity.

I need to preface this: Please know, we love our kids. We always strive to protect them and make them the best humans they can be. Life will happen and hearing tales like this make this incredible ride a little more adventurous!

"I love talking to young moms who are worried that they just did something to scar their child...I like to calm them down through facts and logic.

1) Dude, did you know that the body will not digest (but it will pass) Christmas tinsel? Ask me how I know!

2) Did you know that a 2 year old can’t OD on Tums?! Ask me how I know!

3) Do you know how long it takes black sharpie to wear off of an entire body? I do.

4) Did you know that if you swallow a raisin whole without breaking the skin, it will re-hydrate and exit as a grape?

5) Did you know that kids love to perform their favorite songs in front of a crowd? Church is a great place for this to happen, especially when your kid loves to sing “Red Solo Cup”. Yep, that happened.

6) Did you know a sense of humor is required to survive as a parent?! You’re going to be fine and now your kid has something interesting to tell."

Tracy, thanks for the wit and words of wisdom.
