A Day in the Life

Your weekly update from a Myrtle Beach Macaroni Kid Publisher

By Bobbei Ruswinckel - Myrtle Beach Macaroni Kid Mom Publisher February 7, 2019

When you feel like you are down, just think...You're built for tough stuff!

If this doesn't apply to every mom and dad out there, then I don't know what does! Each week we want to connect with our Myrtle Beach Macaroni Kid family. You will see this segment, A Day in the Life, week after week. Some weeks it may just be a few words of wisdom or an inspirational quote. Another week it may be when we share an amazing adventure. This week it is a little bit about me, Bobbei. We want you to know us, trust us, understand that we are local moms, just like you, trying to make the most of this amazing life we get to live!

So, here I am! I have two spunky kids, Ben and Katie. Ben is 3 (almost 4) and is my lover. This kid! The other day I was helping him in the car seat and grunted because it was difficult to lift all 45+ pounds of him into the giant SUV. He knew what I was about to say. He looks at me and says "Mom, I know I am getting too big. Even though I'm a big kid, I will always be your little boy!"

Scoop my melted heart off the floor! I mean where does he come up with this! It was exactly what I needed to hear and immediately teared up and hugged him to pieces. He is wise beyond his years and I look forward to what words and expressions are going to come out of his mouth next.

Now Katie Mae, she is my fierce little force to be reckoned with. This little girl knows no fear, yet is the first to say, "I too little for that Mommy!" You will be getting lots of Katie stories as we grow together through the years. Like the one from this week when I washed a Pull-Up in my laundry. Stay tuned to hear how that turned out!!

Which brings me to my WHY for doing this. Why publish Myrtle Beach Macaroni Kid? Why add something else to my already full schedule?

Take the previous sentence "...as we grow together through the years." That is WHY. I love to connect to people. My husband says I am serial networker. I have so many friends in the community that share similar experiences and yet so different! This is a way to build a community of family-friendly fun. A way for all of us to be the ambassadors of fun for our families! (Thanks to Stephanie for that phrase). Myrtle Beach Macaroni Kid will allow us to support and honor local moms, businesses and events. To share in all this grand area we get to call home has to offer. I want to love on you, promote you, protect you, educate you and just have a dang great time doing it all, together!

Can't wait to meet you!
